  • Understand that proper nouns are denoted by capital letters, and that lists are denoted by commas (ACELA1465). 
  • Recognise that using a compound sentence with two or more clauses, typically connected by a coordinating conjunction, one can make easy links between ideas (ACELA1467).
  • Recognise that there are three sorts of nouns: common, proper, and pronouns; that noun groups and phrases can be enlarged using articles and adjectives; and that nouns refer to people, places, tangible items, and abstract concepts (ACELA1468). 
  • Create morphemic word families by employing prefixes and suffixes knowledge (ACELA1472).
