In Unit Three, students are introduced to God’s miraculous works across both Old and New Testaments. This unit allows students to begin to understand the concept that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. As students explore miracles across the Bible, they will develop a deeper understanding of the character and nature of God.

The Call of Moses
- Christians believe that God called Moses to do something very special — He asked him to help free the Israelites from Egypt. God promised to be with Moses and give him everything he needed to do the job.

The Law

- Christians believe it is important to listen to God and stay faithful to Him, and this story shows what happens when they forget to trust and follow His instructions.
- Christians believe it’s important to trust and follow God, but God realises that everyone makes mistakes.
- Christians believe that if they do wrong, they can ask God for forgiveness with a true heart, and He is ready to forgive them.
The Tabernacle
- Christians believe it is importance to have God’s presence in their lives.
- The Ten Commandments are very important to Christians because they are God’s rules for how people should live and treat others.
- Christians believe that these commandments are not just laws, but a guide to living a good and faithful life.
- Christians believe that the Tabernacle was a preview of the relationship they have with God through Jesus because he is God’s presence in a more lasting way.
Sermon on the Mount
- Christians believe if they follow what Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, they will live in a way that makes God happy.
- Christians believe it is important because it shows how to love like God loves: caring for everyone, even those who aren’t kind to us.
- Christians believe the teachings in the Sermon on the Mount are a guide for how to live every day: being humble, praying to God, helping others, and trusting God to take care of them.

A Roman and a Funeral
- Jesus was God’s son. He was the Messiah. Through Jesus’ actions, he shows people what God is like.
- In this story, Jesus shows that God cares when people are upset or going through difficult times – just like the grieving woman.
- Jesus also shows God’s goodness because the Roman centurion’s worker is healed even when the officer is not Jewish and is part of the Roman army.
Lepers, Judge, and Pride
- Christians believe Jesus was God’s son. Through Jesus’ actions, he shows people what God is like.
- Christians believe God cares for everyone, including people who are treated as ‘unlovely’ because of who they are or how they look.
- Christians believe the stories Jesus tells the crowd show that God wants people to say they are sorry when they do something wrong.
- God wants people to be humble. God doesn’t think about the position someone has. God doesn’t think about the job someone does.
The Great, the Rich, and the Poor
- Christians believe the Kingdom of God means that Jesus will rule on Earth and in heaven as God’s son.
- Christians believe Jesus teaches all of us how to live in a better way.
- Christians believe Jesus teaches everyone to treat other people with kindness and forgive others when they do something wrong.

- Most groups of Christians believe God is one but also think of Him as three persons and this is called the ‘Trinity.’
