This innovative program is built on strong child development evidence based on research in social and emotional learning, behaviour and character development that supports students to reach their full potential.
Social and Emotional Learning Years F-6
The Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) stream builds the foundations of each student’s development through ‘Feel’. The SEL program focuses on building essential social and emotional competencies in students. These competencies include self-awareness, emotional regulation, social awareness, and social skills, all of which support a student’s ability to manage their emotions, interact positively with others, and make responsible decisions.
In this unit, students will focus on building essential social and emotional skills to support healthy interactions and personal growth.
In this unit, students will learn to recognise and name their feelings, calm themselves, and communicate respectfully.
In this unit, students will explore how emotions shape thoughts, actions and relationships.
In this unit, students will develop essential social and emotional skills that foster their personal growth and relationships with others.

Positive High-Expectations Years F-6
Positive High Expectations is our behaviour management component of Every Child is Special. Positive High-Expectations assists schools to deliver PBIS with fidelity.
There are three components to Positive High-Expectations:
This unit introduces students to the school motto and core values that shape a positive school community. Students develop character traits such as responsibility, perseverance, respect and preparation.
This unit emphasises routines that cultivate personal responsibility, teamwork, gratitude and care for the environment. These practices foster character development while promoting a supportive and cooperative school culture.
This unit focuses on routines that enhance student’s emotional well-being and social interaction skills. Activities encourage mindfulness, emotional regulation and meaningful peer connections.
Character Development Years F-6
It takes a village to raise a child and school is an important part of that. The Character Development units, when used within the school, can support character building and support parents to build character at home as well.
This unit is designed to introduce Foundation students to key concepts of self-discipline, reflection, and kindness.
In this unit, Year 1 and 2 students will explore key concepts that support personal growth: self-discipline, kindness, gratitude, passion, curiosity, belief, and grit.
In Years 3–4, students will discover how effort, time, and consistency play vital roles in achieving their goals.
This unit empowers students to explore and develop essential character traits that foster personal growth, resilience, and leadership.
